We gathered as a community in the Plaza for Remembrance Day.
Our service began with our Drum Corps and was led by our Year 6 leaders. Year 3 student Annika played ‘The Last Post’ to a silent school.
Each student respectfully planted a red poppy in sand along the path to our Peace Pole as Miss Barr sang ‘In Flanders Field’.
Our gratitude to volunteer Mrs Thomas for crocheting extra red poppies each year for new students.
‘They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old; age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them’.
